INGRID'S PASSION –
You only feel as good as the clothes you wear
Hi, I'm Ingrid
My Story So Far
My interest in fashion awoke relatively early at the age of 5 on the occasion of a carnival costume my mother had bought for me: A short, tight, white, satin dress with a little organza skirt on top and embroidery of national flags of the different countries in the world. Instantaneously, I felt like a changed and important person.
Over the years, I admired my mother’s new costumes, dresses, and shoes, which she stored in a tailor-made cupboard that accommodated around 90 pairs of shoes and boots, including high-heeled and ballerinas in whichever color you wanted.
Growing up as a teenager in the 1970s in the Fashion city of Düsseldorf, (Rhineland), I studied at an international language school in London and explored this amazing city.
Among other exciting places, I detected the boutique of Vivienne Westwood, known as the “enfant terrible” of fashion and political activism. I loved her eccentric style and colorful creations. However, they were suitable only for TWIGGY-type sizes.
Little by little Vivienne Westwood became a role model for me.

I was lucky to travel, and I started bringing back clothes from every travel: Saris from Mumbai, silk kimonos from Tokyo, oversized batik trousers from Sout-Africa, kilts from Edinburgh, and last but not least red or blue-striped shirts together with stylish tight jeans from Paris.
Most of all, I learned to appreciate each garment's value by examining the work required to produce it.
I attended fashion shows and museums in Berlin, Paris, New York, and London to improve my knowledge of Art & Design.
Unfortunately, there came a time when I was desperately missing space. I felt so bad to sort my beloved garments out and just put them in the drop-off box.
That was the beginning of Ingrid’s Passion and Collector’s Mania.
I would love it if someone could have just as much fun and enjoyment with my pre-loved clothes as I did.
Consequently, my philosophy, “Happiness without regrets”, still drives me today.
